OUR STORY
2015
New Zealand is built on independent small businesses, and we’re proud to be one of them.
EPIC Campers was founded by Andy, a tech entrepreneur from Devon UK, with a long-standing love of campervans, and Cindy, an Aucklander with a travel addiction. After swapping the London grind for life in Aotearoa back in 2015, we bought a campervan to explore our new home before settling into work.
2018
A few Airbnb style rentals turned into a side hustle, then into a full-time obsession when Andy’s role wrapped up in 2018.
EPIC was born out of a simple frustration: Big campervan companies charging big prices for oversized motorhomes, without the service to match. We built EPIC to prove there’s a better way. Smarter campervans, fairer prices, and a team that truly cares.
After humble beginnings in a single carport (pic below), EPIC Campers has grown into a fully-fledged team of eight (and counting), with depots in Auckland and Christchurch.

EPIC has been built steadily on three key points of difference:

Everything we do, we do ourselves; From designing and building our campers, handling bookings, cleaning, maintenance and on road support. It’s all managed in house by our capable team, which means consistent quality, faster help when you need it and a more personal experience.
