 FAQs

WHO IS THE PLUS BEST FOR?

The Plus is ideal for couples or two friends who want maximum comfort on the road, or small families needing space for a child seat. It’s the best option if you value a larger bed, interior cooking and dining, more storage, and the ability to stay off-grid longer thanks to the solar panel and bigger battery.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I SHOULD CHOOSE THE PLUS OVER THE DUO?

Pick the Duo if you want modern comforts in a compact, car-like van. But if you’d appreciate the extra space, the ability to cook and eat inside the van, a bigger toilet, and drawers for organised storage, then The Plus is worth it. The Plus also fits three people, so it’s the only option if you’re travelling with a small child.

DOES THE PLUS HAVE AN INTERIOR KITCHEN?

Yes — unlike The Duo and Original, The Plus comes with an interior cooking table. You can cook outside in good weather, but when it’s wet or cold, you can prepare meals inside the van. This is one of the biggest reasons to choose The Plus if you’re travelling in winter or through changeable NZ weather.

HOW BIG IS THE BED IN THE PLUS?

The Plus has the largest bed in the fleet — 2.1m x 1.4m — with a premium 100mm foam mattress. If you’re tall, sharing with a child, or just want more room to stretch out, The Plus is the comfiest sleep setup.

wHAT MAKES THE PLUS BETTER FOR FAMILIES?

The Plus has three seatbelts in the cab, so it can take a rear-facing or front-facing child seat. The Duo and Original only fit two adults, so if you’re travelling with a little one, The Plus is your best choice.

HOW MUCH STORAGE DOES THE PLUS HAVE?

More than our other campervans. You’ll get two large drawers under the bed, plus side cupboards, pantry space, and the option of a 450L roof box. If you’re carrying extra bags, sports gear, or kids’ stuff, The Plus keeps it all tidy and out of the way.

HOW LONG CAN I STAY OFF-GRID IN THE PLUS?

Thanks to the 100ah battery and 150W solar panel, the Plus can stay in one place for up to 5 days without driving — much longer than the Duo (3 days) or the Original (2 days). It’s perfect if you want to freedom camp for longer stretches.

DOES THE PLUS HAVE FEATURES THAT MAKE IT EASIER TO DRIVE?

Yes. Even though it’s larger than The Duo or Original, it still drives smoothly and comes with rear parking sensors to take the stress out of reversing. It’s designed to feel safe and manageable even if you’ve never driven a van before. We spend extra time at pick up to go through driving tips with travellers who aren’t used to driving a van.

IS THE PLUS BETTER FOR WINTER TRAVEL?

Definitely. Along with blackout curtains and an insulated roof, The Plus has an interior cooking and dining table — making it much more comfortable in colder, wetter conditions. Add the winter kit (heater + power lead) if you’re heading into alpine areas.
